Schick Hydro Silk

I love getting to try out new products and thanks to BzzAgent I was able to try out Schick Hydro Silk razor. This is not your typical Schick razor that I think of when I hear the name. Schick always makes me think about guys razors. It was the brand that my ex used and several of his friends. I also think about the Schick Intuition, which was an okay razor but the soap around it didn't last long enough and the razor was not what I wanted in a razor. It was overall too awkward and not easy to hold while showering. I had the chance to try out the Schick Hydro Silk and I was hopeful that it would help to change my mind about the Schick razor brand. I hoped that I would take me from seeing it as my ex's razor to being a more female friendly razor that would be easy to handle.

I get a little nervous trying out new razors since my skin can be quite sensitive and get irritated if I have to shave over the same spot several times to get all of the hair. This razor has 5 blades which I really like when I am trying to get a nice smooth shave and I don't have to fight to get all of the hair with multiple stokes of the razor. This really stands up to other razors with having 5 blades. It helps to keep your skin moisturized with the Water-Activated Moisturizing Serum strips on the blade. I have not see a noticeable difference in how it claims to keep your legs moist for up to 2 hours after shaving. I am happy with how it can handle wetting the razor and dry shaving my leg if I missed any spots while I was shaving. This is better then most razors that I have experienced over the years. The handle has a nice feel to it but can be a bit hard to make sure that every spot is taken care of given the handle is wider then the blades. It really does a nice job with taking care of getting a nice smooth shave. Overall, I am quite pleased with this razor and definitely recommend that if you are not happy with your current razor to give this one a try.

Special Edition Red Bull Blue

I was given a free Blueberry flavored Red Bull to try by the Red Bull car and the girls/guys that hand it out. I was really surprised by the taste. I typically do not like the regular Red Bull as the after taste that it has really bothers me. This did not taste like a regular Red Bull. It was really tasty and it didn't matter that it was close to 1 am. I love getting to try anything for free and this was no exception. While I am in Melbourne, I see or get very few things for free to try them out. Melbourne White Night was this past Saturday night and several of the Red Bull cars made an appearance on Flinders St. It was the best time for giving away free cans of Red Bull as Melbourne was doing an all night event. The city had various activities (art and music) going on from 7 pm to 7 am. They were giving out the Red Bull Special Editions. The other flavors are Red(Cranberry) and Silver(Lime). I have not tried these yet but if they are like the Blue one I would be impressed by how the flavor tastes and how it doesn't taste like Red Bull and has the same caffeine and sugar that are in a regular Red Bull. If I get a chance to need caffeine that is not a coffee any time soon I might look for these in a 7-11 to try out the other flavors that they offer.
